Should You Put Your Blog On Your Resume?

A thing I often get told (by people on the internet) is that I should put my blog on my resume, but I've always put it off because what jobs I apply for have nothing to do with my blog, which is mostly about beauty, but it got me thinking, should I really put it on my resume?

Writing a blog teaches you a few skills such as search engine optimization (SEO) and social media marketing among others, and it also teaches you to proofread and to write in a clear and concise manner. Blogging also teaches you some graphic design skills too like basic HTML (for template design) and it teaches you how to use Photoshop to enhance your images, and how to create your own text and image graphics.

Blogging also teaches you a lot about affiliate marketing.

So should you put your blog on your resume? If you're looking for a position in social media marketing, digital marketing, photography, graphic design, or internet consulting, the answer would be yes, but even if you're not looking for positions in those fields, I would probably add it anyway, because you never know who will stumble across your blog.

Also, as many of you can see, I have added my resume as a page (although I seriously need to get my updated version out).

What do you think? Are you going to add your blog to your resume?
