Four Life-Changing Podcasts

by - Saturday, August 11, 2018

There are a lot of podcasts that I recently started listening to a few months ago, and some of them have changed my life for the better.

The Minimalists Podcast
I am trying to focus on being more minimal, but not to the stage where I declutter everything, and The Minimalists podcast really opened my eyes to the world of minimalism. Even though I don't necessarily agree with some of the aspects that Joshua and Ryan go over, such as their 90 day rule (I prefer to stretch it out to once a year), I really like the idea of their Minimalism game, where you give away, throw away, or donate one item on the first day, two items on the second day, three items on the third day, and so on and so forth. They focus on minimalism as a lifestyle, not an aesthetic, and I hope one day I can truly be a minimalist and live with the bare minimum that I need.

Make It Happen
This podcast is run by creative coach and blogger Jen Carrington, and although the podcast is on hiatus now, I absolutely love this podcast. One thing that Jen goes over that has stuck with me is that to create meaningful content, you have to reduce the amount of "noise" that you make-hence why I deleted all my posts as they were simply contributing to the "noise" of the blogging community, particularly the beauty community.

Hashtag Authentic
This podcast is run by creative coach Sara Tasker, who runs the blog Me & Orla, named after her daughter. I love listening to the different creatives that come on Sara's podcast and it's really interesting to see how people grow their Instagram and Twitter followings and how they got started.

The Lavendaire Lifestyle
This podcast is run by Aileen, who runs the personal growth blog of the same name. This podcast talks about the same topics that Aileen talks about on her blog: personal growth and how to design and live out your dream life.
