A Different Approach To Blogging

by - Thursday, September 13, 2018

For the past few weeks, I've been trying to take a different approach to blogging. I've been blogging for a little over three years but got fed up and deleted everything because I felt as though my posts weren't overly helpful and they weren't contributing anything to the blogging world, so I decided to change some of the methods in which I write and post.

More lifestyle, less beauty
I've taken to blogging more about lifestyle bits instead of beauty bits. I've read tons of beauty blogs over the years and to be frank, I don't find them inspiring anymore because they all talk about the same topics, which I find pretty boring.

Posting when I feel like it
I really want to try posting once a day now, but my fear of views going down stops me from doing that. I should stop counting my blog's worth on views and more on how much quality my posts contain.

No more short posts
A short post to me is when I edit it on the Blogger editing window and the picture is still visible. Short posts may make for an easier read, but I feel as though I could have added more on my topic.

Posting more about different things
For months, all I ever posted about was beauty and lifestyle, but I've branched out to include other topics like anime and school. I've also recently gotten sucked into the minimalism and simple living side of things, and find many ideas from those blogs.
