My Favorite Places To Buy Makeup That Aren't Sephora or Ulta

There are some places where I get makeup that aren't Sephora or Ulta because some people don't have a Sephora or an Ulta near them and there can be gems found in other places.

The Body Shop
The Body Shop doesn't just make body stuff; they also make pretty great makeup. My favorite matte foundation is from The Body Shop and their makeup is cruelty-free and affordable. Win-win for everyone.

I've heard jokes about how people come in for one thing at Target and they come out with 50. This is true because Target carries everything, even makeup. Target tends to carry your typical drugstore brands from Milani to Wet n Wild but they have also recently started stocking Makeup Geek and Soap & Glory.

Drugstores (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens)
When people think drugstore, they think that it's the place where you get your Tylenol and any other personal needs, but to a beauty blogger, a drugstore can be a treasure trove for makeup. Aside from the usual brands you see at the drugstore (Maybelline, L'oreal, Rimmel), they also carry brands that you can find at Ulta, such as Milani and Nyx. More recently, Walgreens started carrying Soap & Glory, which you could only get in the UK, and Rite Aid started carrying Kokie Cosmetics, which was previously only available online and at Walmart.

Walmart gets a bad rep, but they carry brands not seen in any other drugstore else such as Hard Candy, Flower Beauty, and Kokie Cosmetics.

Kohl's surprisingly carries makeup which is unheard of from a department store. They carry higher-end brands such as The Balm, PUR, and much more.
