My Makeup Wishlist/Gift Guide

by - Sunday, November 18, 2018

Insert the obligatory "I can't believe Christmas is only a month away" bit here. I'm not an avid fan of Christmas, but I am a sucker for gift guides, but I figured that this time, I'd share my personal wants instead of making a generic gift guide. Even though I'm not as obsessed with makeup as I used to be, I still have a soft spot, and I have some makeup bits on my wishlist.

Huda Beauty The New Nudes Palette-$65
I've seen this on a few beauty accounts, and I admit I really wanted this when I first saw it because I'm a complete sucker for rose gold and blush-toned shadows. It even comes with glitter, which just appeals to the magpie that resides in my soul.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry-$49
At first, I was not on board with this palette because the first swatches that came out made it look like some of the shadows in the Naked Cherry were straight-up ripped from the Naked Heat, which released last year. However, now that I have a closer look and there are better photos, the Naked Cherry is more berry toned than warm-toned, and I am also quite the sucker for a berry-toned eyeshadow palette.

This palette has an eye-watering price of $75 (The most expensive palettes I have are my Naked palettes priced at $54 each), but the color scheme is beautiful and provides a nice blend of neutrals and berry tones. I'm disappointed it's sold out but it still makes a nice gift if it decides to restock.

Another palette that's sold out, but Charlotte Tilbury is absolutely kicking butt this year with her new releases! I am a sucker for glitter and shimmer, and the fact that this palette is all shimmer is making my heart sing all sorts of songs.

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow-$29
The Scattered Light Eyeshadows are one of Hourglass' more affordable products, but it looks absolutely beautiful. It's sadly sold out at Sephora, but hopefully, they'll do a restock soon.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette-$42
Anastasia designed this palette as a wedding palette, but the Soft Glam palette can be used for more than weddings, and its formulation is the same as Modern Renaissance, a refreshing change after hearing about the problems everyone was having with Subculture.

Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette-$38
I know Morphe is known for their boring brown-toned palettes, but this palette is beautiful and despite being a mostly neutral palette it does have some color if you want to mix things up.

What's on your makeup wishlist?
