Why You Don't Need A DSLR To Take Killer Photos

There's a misconception that in order to be a good photographer, you need to have a $5000 camera and a lot of lenses, but that's not true. Phones are just as good as cameras nowadays, and they're proof that you don't need an expensive camera to be a good photographer.

It's more convenient
Phones are a lot more convenient to carry around than a DSLR, and you'll be less likely to lose your phone than a camera.

Apps to rival Photoshop
There are apps on the app store versions of both Android and Apple that allow you to edit photos without the need for Photoshop, Lightroom, or any other photo editing software on your laptop/computer such as VSCO Cam, Snapseed, Photoshop Express, and Lightroom Mobile. My personal favorites are VSCO Cam and Snapseed as I can play around with different settings.

The back camera is just as good as a regular camera
Most phones nowadays have a camera that autofocuses, which is easier than fiddling around with camera lenses.

You don't need an SD card
You don't need an SD card for your phone, as any and all photos go into your photo album and takes up storage, so you never have to be afraid of losing your precious SD card and a lot of photos.
