Five Makeup Items Youtube/Blogging Made Me Buy

by - Tuesday, December 18, 2018

When you're a beauty blogger, there are some things that you are tempted to buy via blog reviews or photos. Same goes for Youtube, and before I unsubscribed from practically all beauty Youtubers, there were some things that they influenced me to buy. Blogging has also influenced me to buy certain items too, and here are five items that Youtube and blogging influenced me to buy.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette
This was raved about by so many Youtubers, and then it made its way onto the blogger universe, and eventually this palette made its way into my makeup collection. The Dolce Vita palette is part of the Luxury Palettes from Charlotte Tilbury, which each contain four shadows (a primer shade, an enhancing shade, a pop shade, and a smoke shade). The Dolce Vita palette has a pale beige primer shade, a deep brick red as its enhancing shade, a beautiful copper glitter as the pop shade, and a deep espresso brown as the smoke shade.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk
One talk of the town is the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, but one that is especially talked about is the shade "Pillow Talk". This lipstick is the same color as the iconic Lip Cheat lipliner: a beautiful pinky nude, and everyone and their mother has this lipstick.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure
This was a purchase that was influenced with a combination of both Youtube and blogging. Youtube first introduced me to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes, but bloggers influenced the shade choice. Mood Exposure is a beautiful subtle plum and it's a beautiful blush, both in terms of packaging and formula.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue
The BareMinerals Complexion Rescue is another Youtube/blogging hybrid. It was first shown on Youtube before making its way to the blogging world. The Complexion Rescue is a hybrid between a CC cream and a tinted moisturizer, and I love this for the warmer months as it's lightweight and doesn't feel like it's clogging up your pores even when you're sweating.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner (shade Midnight)
The Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner was influenced purely by Youtube, particularly this video. As I've run out of Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner and don't plan on repurchasing due to her troublesome statements, I would love to get the Stay All Day liner in Black, but I also love the one I have now, which is Midnight. Midnight is a deep blue that is almost black, but not quite, and it makes a good twist on my boring old cat eye.
