Valentine's Week: The Hearts & Roses of my Makeup Collection

by - Thursday, February 14, 2019

The last post of Valentine's Week, and since this post falls on Valentine's Day, I thought that it'd be appropriate to post the heart shaped and rose-shaped things in my makeup collection, but really only focuses on two brands: Makeup Revolution and Milani.

My two heart shaped items are both from Makeup Revolution and I love the Unicorn Hearts Highlighter. It may seem like an overly cliche thing because it is based on the unicorn highlighter trend, but when swirled together, it makes a really pretty silver highlight. The other heart shaped item is the Triple Baked Blush in Candy Queen of Hearts. This is very obviously a dupe for the Too Faced Sweethearts Blush, and Candy Queen of Hearts gives a subtle but beautiful bright pink.

Moving on to the rose shaped items...the Milani Powder Blushes are quite pretty, both in packaging and in application. I have three of these blushes, because they are affordable, cruelty free, and are a cult classic. I have Romantic Rose, which is a dusty nude pink and my most used, Blossomtime Rose, which is the only shimmery blush in this entire collection and is a beautiful peachy pink, and Tea Rose, which is a bright but subtle dusty pink.

The final rose product is my Milani Illuminating Powder in Beauty's Touch. The imprint on the product is beautiful as it looks like a bunch of roses, and the highlighter itself is a beautiful pale pink.

Do you have any heart or rose shaped items in your makeup collection?
