Spring Picks: The Hot Pink Lipstick Edit

by - Friday, March 08, 2019

The last segment of the Spring Lipstick edit is now on the hot pinks. I am a sucker for a hot pink because I personally feel like hot pink is a cheerful color.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm in Tulip
I really need to get more use out of this color, but Tulip is a beautiful sheer hot pink, and because it's a tinted lip balm, it feels hydrating and I don't need to apply a lip balm underneath, which is handy.

L'oreal Liquid Lip Color in Pink Tremolo, Rose Symphony
These have been long discontinued, but the L'oreal Liquid Lip Color feels almost similar to the Maybelline Color Elixirs, except the L'oreal Liquid Lip Color feels lighter. Pink Tremolo is a pure hot pink, while Rose Symphony leans slightly more red as it's a rose pink.

Maybelline Color Elixir in Hibiscus Haven
Hisbiscus Haven is a sheer hot pink, but because it's sheer and not bright, it makes this Color Elixir wearable if you want to wear it to work or school.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick
Lovesick is a very deep hot pink, and I love it for Valentine's Day, but I also love it for spring as it's essentially a deeper version of the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm in Tulip.

Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Sweetheart
Sweetheart is a sheerer, brighter hot pink, and it's also quite good for everyday wear.

L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Ferric Fuchsia
This was a limited edition color and Ferric Fuchsia is a deep hot pink that almost leans purple, but it is a decent formula as it doesn't drag or feel too oily.

Mary Kay Lip Lacquer in Pink Pagoda
Pink Pagoda is a beautiful hot pink that leans slightly blue, and is a great spring color.
