My Personal E3 Standouts & Thoughts

by - Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Some of you who've read my blog for years might not know this but I am a massive gamer at heart, so when E3 rolls around each year I get super excited. This year's E3 was interesting, but here are my own personal standouts from the 3 days:
Xbox Conference
This was the first conference I watched, and it was AWESOME! I own an Xbox myself so I was super excited to see some of the new games being announced (I streamed my reaction to it and there was a lot of screaming, yelling, and possibly crying). Anyway, here are my personal standouts:

Cyberpunk 2077

Halo Infinite
I'm a big Halo fan (I own all the games except for the little side games like Halo Wars, Spartan Strike, and Spartan Assault), and the trailer for this looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

Project Scarlett
Project Scarlett is Xbox's newest console, and all I can say is RIP whatever money I have come holiday time 2020.

Dying Light 2
I've played the first Dying Light game for a bit and I really liked it! The second game looks interesting because you're playing as someone who got infected.

Outer Worlds
This reminds me of Fallout but in space and yeah, I already pre-ordered it.

Borderlands 3
This is another game that I have also already pre-ordered and I can't wait to play it.

Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary
This is a DLC that ties the events of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3 together, and I will definitely stream this Sunday (Twitch channel here)

Bethesda Conference:
I really didn't want to mention the Bethesda Conference because to me it was FILTH. The only semi-standouts from the conference were Doom Eternal (I have messed around in Doom and kinda like it), maybe the new Fallout 76 DLC, the Tokyo Ghostwire presentation (bless Ikumi Nakamura) and the Crowd Guy because that was hilarious.

Ubisoft Conference:
The Ubisoft conference was kind of okay, but it was waaay better than the Bethesda conference. Personal highlights include:

Watchdogs Legion
I mean, they have a freaking spy grandma in this game, so I'm totally getting it, but besides her, the game looks really good.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
This game looks both cool and beautiful and makes me want to play Ghost Recon

Rainbow Six: Quarantine
This is an entirely new R6 game, and is based off of the Outbreak event that was in R6S a while back, and I can't wait to play this one too.

I didn't watch the Square Enix conference, but I did manage to listen in on Nintendo's conference and personal highlights from that were  obviously Pokemon Sword and Shield, Animal Crossing, and Dead by Daylight's port to the Switch

Did you watch E3 this year?
