What I Learned From 4 Years of Blogging

by - Friday, July 12, 2019

Four years later and I still have this blog, out of all things, which is impressive. I've switched platforms once, and switched back to Blogger during those four years, I've cried numerous times, spent way too much money, and bought way too many things but I still never gave up on my blog, so today's post is everything I learned from the past 4 years of blogging!

It's tough feeling like you're not getting anywhere
I've felt this A LOT and it honestly sucks to feel that way, because envy and jealousy are not nice feelings especially when you see other bloggers already making it in the world and you feel like you're stagnant, but you need to remember why you started blogging in the first place.

It feels good when you blog about stuff you like
For years I was afraid to blog about games and school because those are things that I both like and that are a part of my life. When I started blogging about both these things it actually made my views skyrocket, so don't be afraid to blog about lipsticks one day but your favorite game the next!

It's okay to not belong in a niche
You have your beauty bloggers, your fashion bloggers, and your lifestyle bloggers, but what if you feel like you just don't belong in any of those niches? You don't have to belong to a niche at all! Just be yourself, because I often find myself only looking at beauty blogs just for the pretty photos.

It's expensive
Being any kind of blogger can be very expensive, from equipment costs to finding things to blog about (makeup, clothes, etc.). You don't have to buy the latest and greatest makeup item or fashion launch to be a good blogger though. You can blog about stuff you already have, or that family vacation, or even what you do in a day!
