An Ode to Peach

I love the smell of peaches, and peaches just in general, and I've been able to try Skinfood's Peach Sake line and also their Peach Jelly, and I love everything I got.

The Peach Sake line is made for oily skin, as it tightens pores and also clears up any oil. Peaches contain Vitamins A & C, which help brighten skin a bit, and it also contains sake, which is Japanese alcohol. However, the skincare line doesn't smell strongly of peaches, but it only has a slight whiff.

Starting off with the Peach Sake Toner, this is different from other toners as it works best when you apply it straight from your hands instead of on a cotton pad, but it feels quite refreshing. How I apply it is to pour a small amount into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and pat the toner into my skin.

Second is the Peach Sake Emulsion. In case you're wondering what an emulsion is, it's basically a lightweight moisturizer. It's nice for a hot summer's day, but it's also nice to wear all year round. Strangely, this doesn't smell like peaches at all, which is great if you're sensitive to smell. To apply, you pour a small amount on your hands, rub your hands together, and rub it into your skin, similar to the toner.

The third item is the Peach Sake Pore Serum. Unlike the previous two items, the pore serum does not come in a bottle-like packaging. Rather, it comes in a small bottle with a pump, and it basically tightens your pores and helps with excess oil. To apply, I use two pumps and rub it all over my face.

The last item is the Peach Jelly Soothing Gel. It smells slightly like peaches, again, but the jelly acts like a gel moisturizer, which is really good for those of us with oily skin. It also is less oily and sinks in faster than your traditional moisturizer.
