Best Discoveries of 2019: Eyeshadow Palettes

by - Wednesday, December 11, 2019

It's almost the end of the year (and therefore entering a new decade; how scary is that?) and I decided to do a "Best Discoveries of 2019" series with all the new products I've discovered this year. The first category is eyeshadow palettes, and I have seven eyeshadow palettes that I absolutely loved this year.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette
I bought this palette earlier this year, and I absolutely love the palette. It is my palette of dreams because it is neutral, with a few blush tones, and even though it's meant to be a palette for wedding/bridal makeup, you don't have to be getting ready to be hitched to use it. My favorite shades in the palette are Rose Pink, which is a shimmery pink, and Dusty Rose, which is a dusky rose.

Milani Pure Passion Palette
This palette reminds me of a drugstore version of the Tartelette Toasted palette-except slightly more blush toned. I absolutely love this palette because it has an equal number of shimmery and matte shades, and it's got a ton of neutrals.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry
When I saw this palette at first, I had to resist it, but later gave in and bought it and I'm glad I did because even though it doesn't smell like cherries, it is a beautiful purely berry palette that I love for this time of year.

Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette
I'll spill the beans right now; I'm not subscribed to Jaclyn Hill, but when I saw this palette, I knew that I had to have it. I've used this palette quite a bit this year, and it's chock full of neutrals, save for a few blues, but that's what makes it unique.

BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil Palette
This palette is my attempt of breaking out of my neutral shadow loving comfort zone, and I'm glad I bought it. This palette is chock full of colors from the rainbow, and even though I haven't used it much, I plan on using it to create some colorful looks in the future.

Zoeva Cosmetics Cocoa Blend palette
This palette is drugstore price ($12) but it has a luxury feel. This palette is a neutral one (what else is new?) but they feel like high end shadows and the shadows are definitely ones I'd wear during this time of year.

Zoeva Spice of Life Palette
Again, this is the same deal as the Cocoa Blend palette: drugstore price ($12), and unlike the Cocoa Blend palette, this one is full of warm tones, which does make it perfect for winter, plus the packaging kinda reminds me of a gingerbread cookie for some reason.

What were your best eyeshadow palette discoveries of this year?
