Best Discoveries of 2019: Lip Products

2019 in lip products was the year of new discoveries, some of which I loved, some of which I didn't like so much. Here's a list of everything I discovered this year that I absolutely loved.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick (shade Very Victoria)
This lipstick is undoubtedly one of the top contenders of this year. I love all CT lipsticks, and this one is no exception. Very Victoria is just a very taupe rosy nude.

Jouer Lip Cream
2019 was the year I finally got to try the famed Jouer Lip Creams, and I was afraid that they would be drying at first, but these proved me dead wrong. They actually feel quite nice, like my Milani Amore Matte Lip Creams.  I picked up two colors: Tawny Rose, a neutral deep rosy pink, and Lychee, a bright, neutral pink.

Kiko 3D Hydra Lipgloss
This year was also the year I experimented with Kiko more as a brand, and I picked up the Hydra Lipgloss in the shade Pink Magnolia, a sparkly neutral pink. What makes me love this lipstick is that it is a subtle gloss despite the glitter that's in it.

Etude House Dear Darling Tint (shade Plum Red)
This year, I also experimented with a lot of K-beauty, and I picked up the Etude House Dear Darling Tint in the shade Plum Red, which is actually a beautiful classic red with just a hint of pink. The tint itself is sheer, but it is buildable in case you want a more intense red.

Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint (shade Strawberry Ade)
This tint is different from the last one as it's water based, and stays on longer. I picked up the shade Strawberry Ade, which is a gorgeous deep pink. However, you do need to use a lip scrub for this because it will accentuate any chapped lips.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm (shade Bloom)
This is just like the rest of my Sugar Lip Balms: hydrating and fresh feeling. Bloom is a neutral pink, and it does last through Texas heat, and if that doesn't say anything about the lasting power of this lip balm, what will?

YSL Rouge Volpute in Oil
I finally got my hands on three of the Rouge Volupte in Oils this year, and I love them. I was mistaken into thinking they would be like a regular lipstick, when they really are more like a balm. I got the shades Nude Lavallaire, a regular old pinky nude, Pink Blouson, a neutral pink, and Reve de Rose, a bright rosy pink.

Kiko Stylo Lipstick (shade Vintage Rose)
I am a sucker for anything that is rose colored, and this was the perfect fit. This lipstick is matte, but not too matte (feels more like a velvety matte) and the shade Vintage Rose is the perfect brown toned rose.

Joah Cosmetics I'm Your Jelly Bae Lipstick (shade Hubby)
This lipstick is quite interesting as it's got a matte gel formula, so it does tug a little bit, but the color I got, which is Hubby, is a gorgeous neutral mauve (I also love a good mauve lipstick).
